Spring Fling Kidlit Contest- The Yellow Snazzy Car

A kidlit contest based on a Gif?

How could I NOT participate?

Especially after coming across this fun Gif at Giphy.com that reminded me of an ever so popular Beatles tune about a submarine.

Of course, there are rules…

Child friendly. Under 150 words. MUST use a Gif as inspiration for the story. No other illustrations allowed.

Check, check, check & check!

Now for my story.

Here we go…

THE YELLOW SNAZZY CAR

(WC-148)

In the town where I was born

Lived a man named PopAlong

And he told us of the day

He took his friends on a ride so long

A jolly time they all did have

Until a rock made them go ping-pong!

They all pinged in a yellow snazzy car

a yellow snazzy car, a yellow snazzy car

They all ponged in a yellow snazzy car

A yellow snazzy car, a yellow snazzy car

And all the town they clapped and cheered

It was talked about for years and years

And that is how he got his name

Mr. PopAlong’s claim to fame

They all pinged in a yellow snazzy car

A yellow snazzy car, a yellow snazzy car

They all ponged in a yellow snazzy car,

A yellow snazzy car, a yellow snazzy car

It was the first of all parades

Or at least the story goes…

THE END

What do you think? Have I been in the house too long? Is quarantine making me nuts?  Should I have made a cake instead?

Sigh…

I think I need a yellow snazzy car.

In the mood for more?

Head on over to Ciara O’Neal’s website and get your reading pants on.

If you need me, I’ll be over here googling yellow snazzy cars…
